Because the environmental issues facing humanity are massive and complex, we believe that the most effective way to find solutions is to work with other organizations, including corporations, governments and other NGOs. It is simply not sufficient to throw stones from the sidelines; we must work together to address the needs of a rapidly growing global population that is dependent on a fragile and already overstressed environment.
CI's corporate engagement practices have been attacked recently in a so-called "sting." The original article explicitly states that, "There is no suggestion of illegality or wrongdoing on behalf of CI." However, the headlines that accompany the original and follow-on articles are sensationalist and misleading. Moreover, the accusations leveled in the articles are baseless and dishonest. At CI, we take our mission to protect the environment very seriously.

Beyond the immediate emotion and disappointment that fans have about the NFL still being closed for business, the ruling on Monday night - followed by a similar result on appeal - may be the most direct path to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and a full season in 2011.
The ruling and the appeal

That doesn't make the interview any less funny, though. Honestly, does it really matter if we're looking at Eminem's mentor's adorable baby face or Ronald Blair Wilkinson III's adorable baby face? It's an adorable baby face!

If my parents lived in the age of Twitter and TMZ and 24/7/365 media coverage I'm sure there would have been a maniacal media stake out and photos and videos of my father and his 17-year-old girlfriend and images of me and my sister and our mother as we tried to conduct ourselves through our days as we grappled with our new reality and the loss associated with it.

The move was widely anticipated, and is the latest in a series of reshuffles at the network. In recent weeks, Katie Couric has been replaced as the anchor of the "CBS Evening News" by Scott Pelley, and that program, as well as the ever-struggling "Early Show," has gotten a new executive producer. In addition, CBS has a relatively new president and chairman.

According to a 2006 American Society of Dermatological Surgery survey, 24 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 50 have a tattoo. What once people felt the need to cover up, has now become, for the most part, an integral part of society. Case and point? The 14th Annual New York City Tattoo Convention. Thousands flocked to the event that took place inside NYC's Roseland Ballroom. Around 75 vendors were said to be on-site for the convention and while some visitors were just looking around, many opted for more ink.

Known to some as "Cactus Jack" or "Mankind," the pro-wrestler's weapons of choice in the ring have included barbed wire bats, the mandible claw and a sock puppet aptly named "Mr. Socko," which often found its way down his opponents' throats. This bearded face, framed by haphazard curls, is not one that you would expect to proudly represent the movement to end rape and sexual violence.
But when Foley, 46, talks about sexual assault, which occurs approximately every two minutes in the US, he leans forward and his eyes ignite. As he makes his points, eloquently -- he has written New York Times best sellers without ghostwriters, after all -- the plaid-wearing wrestler makes sure that everyone in the room is listening.
